About this building

The church has three distinct parts: the tower, the nave and the domed choir.
The interior is a unique place, a mirror of the past and a testament to Baroque aesthetics. The high altar, its carved wooden niches and their statues - the two lovers and the two angels - are particularly noteworthy. The choir stalls and confessionals are of excellent quality. The interior is a unique place, a mirror of the past and a testament to Baroque aesthetics. The high altar, its carved wooden niches and their statues - the two lovers and the two angels - are particularly noteworthy. The choir stalls and confessionals are of excellent quality. Tombstones, including that of Gabriel Jacques de Salignac, vice-general of Louis XV's armies.

But what really catches the eye are the coved coffered ceilings in the nave and choir. The central nave, covered by a barrel vault, has 72 coffered ceilings. The ceiling on the north side depicts scenes from the suffering life of Christ and the ceiling on the south side depicts the praises from the litanies of Loreto. The choir ceiling has 36 coffered panels.

The church was listed by royal decree on 25/01/1935.
