About this building
The late Gothic hall church from the 15th century, which still incorporated remains of a Romanesque sanctuary, was badly damaged during World War I and restored in 1925. In 1977, St Amato's church was destroyed by fire, but it was rebuilt resulting in a particularly successful and original fusion of old and new.
