Saint Willibrord
The foundation of the parish probably dates back to the X century. In the XII. Century, the parishioners were obliged to make an annual pilgrimage to Echternach on Whit Tuesday. The first church building comprised a semicircular apse and was undoubtedly built in the Romanesque style. Some remains are visible in the choir area. The steeple on the west side was built in the XIIth century.
In the XVth century, a new choir room with a rectilinear apse was built. The present nave was built in the XVI century as a hall church. The fresco paintings date back to the corresponding building periods. The three-sided apse dates from the XVIII century. The three-sided apse dates from the XVIII century, as does the entrance portal, which bears the date 1750. They were rediscovered in 1952 during extensive restoration work.
