On the program

This year we will be celebrating a triple anniversary: the 125th anniversary of the creation of our parish of Saints-Victor-et-Léonard, the 125th anniversary of our Conference of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul and the 125th anniversary of the consecration of our parish to Our Lady.

For this occasion, in addition to the visit of our church, we will propose to the public a historical and moving exhibition recalling events and people who made our parish live.

Saints-Victor-et-Léonard

This neo-Gothic cross-shaped church was built from natural stone blocks. The façade is flanked by an adjoining tower over 50 metres high, topped by a pointed roof above the bell tower.

The foundation stone was laid by Mgr Martin-Hubert Rutten on 13 December 1903, and the church was completed in 1905. The church is dedicated to the patron saint of Victor-Joseph Doutreloux, Bishop Rutten's predecessor: Saint Victor, martyr of the Catholic Church. It is also dedicated to Saint-Léonard, the patron saint of prisoners.
