The small village church is romantically situated on the banks of the reservoir and is dedicated to St Valentine, the patron saint of lovers. Around the baroque high altar, roses entwine around Mary, who proudly presents her little son. The rose symbolises eternal love. However, it is also the flower of the Virgin Mary, as depicted in the famous altarpiece Mary in the rosebushes in Colmar in Alsace.
