Saint-Lambert

The current neo-Gothic-style church has stood on this site since 1898. The architect was Jean-Pierre Knepper. The previous church was located in the centre of the cemetery on the edge of the village. The tombstones of the members of the ruling families who were buried there originate from it. Now the slabs on the walls of the new church commemorate these people and their time; their remains are in the cemetery. The single-nave building, with its implied side aisles, impresses with its spaciousness.

The mural in the choir was painted by Gerhard Lamers in 1907 and the head reliquary of St Lambert is located in the niche of the neo-Gothic high altar from 1902, which was also designed by the architect. According to tradition, the skull of the martyred bishop from Maastricht is in the bust from 1940.
