Event Host Building
Sint-Laurentius
St. Lawrence Parish is the oldest serving parish in Hove. It is mentioned as early as 1233. The building dates from around 1500 and must have been damaged during the iconoclastic crisis of 1566. The village and the church were then largely destroyed. For years, the church remained in a state of abandonment.
Restoration only began in the 17th century, and many changes were made over the centuries. The last complete restorations took place in 1967 and 2010.
The present church is in late Gothic style, except for the side aisles, the sacristy and the baptistery.
