Ook beide oorlogen zijn aan Bocholt niet voorbij gegaan. Bij de bevrijding in september '44 werd de kerk en een groot aantal huizen in het dorp in brand gestoken. Unieke foto's geven een beeld over de verwoesting en wederopbouw van de kerk en omliggende gebouwen.
Doorlopend zijn de kerkschatten te bezichtigen, waaronder een retabel, sacramentstoren en talrijke beelden uit de zestiende eeuw.

The bell tower of this Gothic church dates from 1411. The nave was built half a century later (1476). Don't miss the Antwerp altarpiece, the medieval statues and the Blessed Sacrament Tower.
A spectacular episode in the history of the church: in 1910 the bell tower was moved by 9.4 m to widen the church by 2 bays!
