Sint-Guibertus

There was probably the first mention of a church building in the mid-11th century. During the religious disputes (late 16th century), this church was destroyed to be restored in the early 17th century. In 1653-1661, a new tower was built to a design by Jan Veris. In 1789-1791, a larger church was built preserving the 17th-century tower. In 1885, the side aisles were extended eastwards to the design of F.H. Cox.

This is an oriented brick pseudo-Basilica in classicist style. The built-in 17th-century west tower is in sandstone and has a special lantern. This tower is in Baroque style.

The church possesses two 17th-century paintings and some polychromed wooden statues from the 18th century. The main altar is in Rococo style (fourth quarter of the 18th century). The classicist-style panelling contains medallions from the 18th-century pulpit. The communion bench is from around 1700. There are confessionals from 1741 and 1780. The baptismal font is from about 1700.
