Saint Leonard
Situated in the sector of the Seven Valleys on a part of the battlefield of the famous Battle of Agincourt, Tramecourt is a charming preserved village. A majestic avenue of lime trees over one hundred years old, leads to the mansion of the Marquis of Tramecourt and the church next to the estate.
The church of Saint Leonard follows the Latin cross plan and is in the flamboyant gothic style. Entering through a sculptured porch over which can be seen the statue of St. Leonard and the arms and motto of the Tramecourt family « Virtus et Antiquitas » (courage and tradition), it is here that the members of the Tramecourt family are buried as the numerous tomb stones found within show. The interior is a history book of the local gentry. The church also has 12th century baptism fonts, a classified Historical Monument, which bears witness to the presence of romanesque art in the region.
