Event Host Building

Saint-Nicolas

The church is built with local stone and its roof is covered with local slate. The building is 35 meters high and its roof is 160 square meters. It is in neo-Romanesque style, with a transept. The laying of the first stone took place on 30 April 1902. It can be seen in the outer buttress of the choir; underneath this stone is a parchment enclosed in a hermetically sealed lead pipe.

The church has a volume of architecture that awakens to the transcendence of the mystery of the heavens. Its dimensions: total height of the tower: 35m + (the cross dominating the bell tower being 1.50 m). The length, from the entrance door to the communion bench: 26.50m. The depth of the choir from the communion bench is 9.50m. The height of the pavement in the middle of the vault is 15m. The height of a granite pillar is 4.25m.

Also noteworthy: five beautiful stained glass windows above the choir; A high altar which is a real museum piece; Two side altars which were rebuilt in 1958; A confessional from the old church from the beginning of the 19th century.
