The church will be open for free visits from 2 to 6 pm. One or two people will always be present to give cultural-historical explanations about the church building itself, about the displayed objects and especially about the tombs of the Lords of Beersel Hendrik II & III Van Witthem (end of the 15th, beginning of the 16th century).

Sint-Lambertus
On the Herman Teirlinckplein in Beersel stands the Church of Saint Lambert, whose origins may reach back to the ninth century. It is first mentioned in 1190, when the right of patronage passed to the Abbey of Vorst (Forest).
The early church, probably of timber framing, was replaced by a stone building that endured harsh trials: destroyed in 1497-1498 by rebellious citizens of Brussels, again in 1585 by iconoclasts, and struck by lightning in 1730. In 1913 a new church arose to designs by Chrétien Veraart, the fifteenth-century Gothic tower being preserved — a tangible bond with the distant past.
Built of limestone, the tower has three stages and carries a tent roof. Inside, the church keeps a Baroque high altar of 1748, two rococo side altars of 1751, a font from the late fifteenth century bearing the arms of the van Wittem family, and the grave slabs of Henry II and Henry III van Wittem, of 1454 and 1515.
